So You Wanna Build a Dropshipping Biz? Here’s the Right Way to Do It

Grab a beverage, a notepad, and get cozy.

If you have any interest in starting or growing your own successful dropshipping store, you’ve just stumbled upon my exact formula to accomplish that.

And it’s COMPLETELY different than anything you’ve seen before.

You see… there’s a lot of non-sense floating around about how to build a successful store.

Most of it is hype, fluff, and designed for people desperate to make a quick buck.

On top of that, most of it is outdated, ineffective, and flat-out does not work.

This post is different…

In this post, you’ll learn how to grow a REAL store… that can not only make $$$, but is designed to last long-term.

The common drop ship model you hear about is:

• Put up a store.

• Add products from Chinese marketplaces like AliExpress.

• Run Facebook ads.

• Make sales.

• Order the product from the Chinese marketplace, and have it shipped to your customer.

• They receive their item in 2-4 weeks.

While we’ve done this in the past…we’re gonna turn it on its head today :).

Here’s What We’re Gonna Cover

➡ The 5-Step S.A.L.E.S Success Recipe we use to launch and grow Shopify stores from scratch… and how we do it using USA suppliers.

➡ An EXACT strategy we use to find products (…WITHOUT looking for products).

➡ How it’s easier than you think to find good USA suppliers… or suppliers in whatever location you’re targeting, so you can offer fast shipping to your customers.

➡ How you can work with our team to start and grow your own store (cheap plug).

This is For You if:

You want the sales potential that a dropshipping store can provide.

You want the freedom and flexibility that a drop shipping store can provide.

But…

You want to do this while avoiding all the headaches…like crazy-long shipping times from China, tons of customer service (where’s my order!?), & selling the same ‘hot product’ that everyone else is selling.

Before we move forward, there’s something I need to get off my chest…

I’ve been selling physical products and doing eCommerce for nearly 7 years now…

And I do not like the way eCommerce is talked about and positioned in the online marketplace.

You’ve probably seen it…

People make it seem so easy…

Like it’s some “quick-start hobby.”

You put up a store, toss some products in it, and before you know it… you’re living on a beach somewhere, without a care in the world.

I’m not a fan of that mentality at all.

Plenty of people are willing to sell you the “get rich quick” dream, but you will NOT find it here. There’s no guarantees you will succeed with an online store or any type of business. As with anything, results will vary, based on many factors.

That said… to give yourself the best chance at success in both the short and long-term… you have to treat this like a real business, because it is.

It’s not just some “internet venture.”

You have to be willing to do what other’s won’t.

You have to take steps others aren’t willing to take…

Like using USA suppliers and selling products other people are too lazy to research (I’ll show you how to do both).

If you take the extra steps and have the right mindset… you can build something awesome!

Something that can last more than a month.

A long-term business you can be proud of.

Now, at the end of this post, I’ll tell you about our Store Implementation Program.

This is our flagship 1-on-1 coaching and accountability program… where we’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs launch & grow their own eCommerce drop shipping stores.

If you couldn’t wait and clicked the link, that’s fine.

But I urge you to read this entire Case Study before considering the program.

I’m going to go over our process and give you tons of great content… but at the end I’d love it if you’d take a look and see if you think our program is something that would benefit you & your business.

That handsome, hard-working gentleman is me 🙂

Let me tell you how I got into eCommerce…

You might remember when selling t-shirts on Facebook was all the craze.

Around 2012-13 is when it really began to take off.

Around that time, I got really good at Facebook advertising.

Facebook had recently made some changes to their platform, and I learned how to find “hidden” interests to target with my ads.

We’d create t-shirts around those specific interests.

So if I found an interest like, “Swimming World Magazine” (yes…that’s a real magazine and interest you can target with Facebook ads), I’d create a t-shirt for swimmers.

GENIUS 😉

Here’s the crazy part…

At the time, I was just a marketing agency selling services like SEO and web design.

But once I got good at Facebook ads and selling physical products…everything changed.

I literally went from a business making a couple thousand bucks per month… to sometimes making that in a single DAY!

That seems like a long time ago… but since staring that eCommerce journey, we’ve not only generated over 7-figures in sales, but along with that:

• We’ve been fortunate enough to build a following of thousands of customers in the Facebook advertising world.

• We’ve been heavily involved in four eCommerce stores.

• Two of those stores did over six-figures in sales.

• And two of them did over 7-figures in sales.

But here’s my favorite part of this journey.

We’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs grow their own stores… some of which have turned into 6 and even 7-figure stores themselves.

How Learning to Sell Stuff on Facebook Changed My Life

Just so you know, I’m not really a dramatic person…

I don’t follow the typical “guru” marketing model.

So I don’t have some ‘rags-to-riches’ story to share… and I refuse to make one up just to impress you.

But online marketing impacted my life in a very positive way.

Learning how to sell stuff with Facebook ads really changed my life…and I want to tell you exactly how.

Like I said above…prior to getting into Facebook advertising, I was selling marketing services to local business owners (SEO, web design, things like that).

I was doing okay…but it wasn’t the most stable or profitable business model.

I always had it in the back of my mind that I may have to get a traditional job again at some point.

But learning eCommerce changed all that.

➡ I was able to stay an entrepreneur (no going back to a day job).

➡ I get to do things I love…when I want to do them (like grab brunch or go to the pool on a random Tuesday).

➡ I can work from a laptop (from anywhere…including vacation!).

➡ I’m fortunate that I get to focus on the things that are important to me in life.

But like I stated earlier…perhaps my favorite thing of all, is that this journey has given me the ability to influence others and change their lives too!

Here is a recent testimonial from some of our clients that I’m very proud to share.

I’ve highlighted my favorite parts in yellow.

Miranda and Leigh are a normal couple, with normal lives…who one day decided they wanted to try and build a successful drop shipping store.

• They were both working full-time.

• They began watching YouTube videos and reading on how to build a successful store.

• They launched a store.

• And they were determined to be successful.

BUT… it just wasn’t working.

And that’s the case for many people when they don’t have clarity and guidance (…which I hope to give you through this post).

Anyways… they came into our program and we helped them find good products, build a store that converts, and run effective Facebook ads.

And today, they’ve grown their store into a pretty big brand!

How cool is that?’

This is Miranda & Leigh

It’s amazing what’s possible with the internet.

eCcommerce has had a big impact on my life and others I’ve worked with.

Before we get into the good stuff, let me tell you about a revelation I had that completely changed the way I create and run drop shipping stores.

Check this out…

Here’s a screenshot of a store that did huge numbers during a recent Q4 period:

Super impressive, right?!

Don’t get me wrong… that much revenue is great.

But for this store, we were primarily drop shipping products from China.

I still think this can be a viable model for a drop shipping store.

We’ve done it in the past, and had great success with it.

Heck… people are STILL having great success with it.

This is what most people teach.

But here’s what I learned through those experiences…

Dropshipping from China has it’s fair share of ‘headaches’.

You’re familiar with these if you’ve done this dropshipping model before.

• Lots of customer service (where’s my order? where does this ship from? etc…)

• LONG shipping times

• Vanishing orders

• Chargebacks

• PayPal issues

I had to learn these lessons the hard way.

It was during the busiest buying season of the year – Quarter 4.

From that point forward, I was committed to finding a way to never have to deal with this again.

I started educating myself on how to work with USA suppliers and how to make it work with a drop shipping model.

Basically…I wanted the ease of drop shipping…WITHOUT all the headaches I experienced when drop shipping from China.

Along this journey, I learned a lot… what I learned was AMAZING:

☑ Many of the products you might be drop shipping from China, are now available in the USA for similar pricing.

☑ Even better, you can find a ton of great products from USA suppliers, that aren’t available on popular sites like AliExpress!

Note: If you’re targeting the UK, Australia, or another country…this still works.

You can find suppliers in any country you’re running ads to, thus getting your customers their items FAST.

This is a key to growing a REAL business… not just some “hobby.”

Today, I’m going to share everything I learned…and how we now use these concepts for every new store we open.

Now…everything I teach you today is worthless, if you don’t understand ONE very important concept…

We all have a friend like this, right?

The friend that tells you they’re going to get in shape!

MONDAY they are starting a new diet and workout plan.

And they expect to be in great shape a few weeks later.

A bit unrealistic…huh?

Well… unfortunately, many people treat their online businesses the same.

They expect to be overnight success stories.

The reality is, growing a successful business is NOT easy. Our success and the success stories we share are exceptional results, not the norm.  The clients we spotlight put in a TON of work. It’s not typical to grow a successful store, which is why the average person who tries, doesn’t.

You can’t expect to work on your business for a couple hours a week…then suddenly retire on the beach next month.

Don’t be that person!

Instead, work each and every day to seize the opportunity in front of you.

Get out of the “make money fast” or “get rich quick” mindset. It doesn’t exist and we don’t believe in it.

But… we live in a an awesome day and age, where we can grow a business on the internet quickly.

The time is NOW!

It’s a great time to be an entrepreneur.

Alright…let’s dive in to the S.A.L.E.S Success Recipe we use to build profitable eCommerce drop shipping stores!

I like to consider myself a pretty creative dude.

So what I did was take our formula for building successful stores, and put it into an easy-to-understand acronym.

Since building a successful store is about driving SALES, that is the basis for our formula.

First up…we have the “S” in S.A.L.E.S, which stands for…

1) Social Media Friendly Products

In order to be successful drop shipping with Facebook ads, you MUST be selling Social Media Friendly Products.

If you’re unsure what that means, allow me to explain…

Images Source: Wikipedia Commons

LOL…

Wondering what these two dudes are doing on your screen?

Let me explain how they’re the KEY to successfully selling products on Facebook.

As you know, Kayne West is a very popular performer.

He’s sold millions of albums.

And of course we all know Jerry Seinfeld!

A comedian, and star of one of the most famous TV shows of all time.

Both of these guys are superstars.

But let’s imagine for a moment that Kanye West is coming in concert to Chicago.

His biggest fans in Chicago are pumped.

Even people who live hours away decide to buy tickets and drive to the show.

Kayne sells out the arena…and the night of the show, the whole venue is full of his diehard fans, waiting for him to appear.

The spotlight shines, and out walks…

Now…it’s not like people don’t love Jerry…

But the people at the arena are Kanye West’s biggest fans.

And while there many be some crossover, these two celebrities have totally different fan bases.

It’s important to remember that Facebook is interruption marketing.

Unlike Google, where people go to search for something with intent, Facebook is completely different.

People don’t wake up and say to themselves, “Today I’m going to buy something on Facebook!”

Instead…they’re browsing their newsfeed.

Suddenly…a unique product captures their attention.

They click to the store…and like it enough to buy it.

So what does this mean?

It means people on Facebook only buy certain types of products.

For example…

Let’s say the smoke detector in one of the rooms in my house breaks.

What do I do?

Go on Facebook and buy a new one…right?!?

I’m kidding of course…no one thinks that way.

But let’s say my smoke detector doesn’t break.

But one day, I just so happen to be browsing Facebook.

And because of my interests, page likes, etc…Facebook knows I’m into spy gear or home security.

So I see an ad with a store selling this:

It’s a hidden camera, disguised as a smoke detector.

Pretty cool, right?

THIS is what we’d call a “Social Media Friendly Product.”

It’s not something someone was thinking of buying.

But they saw it, it interests them (because you targeted them correctly), they thought it was unique, and they might buy it.

This is just one example…but it’s important to remember the big concept.

Don’t be Jerry Seinfeld walking into a Kanye West concert.

That’s exactly what you’re doing when you try and sell the wrong types of products on Facebook.

But then that begs the question…

How do we find Social Media Friendly Products to put in our drop shipping stores?

So here’s the trick…

Don’t search for products at all…search for IDEAS for products.

I know this sounds weird…but this ONE concept will be worth your entire time reading this article.

This goes against everything every other “guru” teaches.

In fact…if you see someone else teaching product research this way, chances are they snagged the idea from me :).

What does everyone do when they want to find products to sell in their store?

They go out and search for products.

Seems like the natural thing to do…right?

And while this can work…searching for IDEAS for products, can work even better.

So the way it works…is you’re not actually searching for products.

You start out searching for ideas.

And then these ideas will LEAD you to products.

Confused?

How about I show you how we do this…and the secret resource we use?

Yes…

This gray-bearded man can literally be the key to building a successful drop shipping store, and I’m about to explain how.

This website is called Answer the Public (AnswerthePublic.com).

What it does…is provide you with all the auto-suggest phrases people search for on Google and Bing.

In other words, you put in a keyword, and Answer the Public literally shows you everything people search related to that keyword.

This site gives you SOOOOO many ideas you otherwise would never think of.

Let’s do a quick example….

This is a real search I did the other day that led me to an awesome product… and I’m going to show it to you right now.

I was eating breakfast the other morning, and after finishing, I was wiping down the placemat on the table.

My wife says I make a bigger mess than the kids sometimes…so yeah, there’s that.

Anyways…

I decided to hop on over to Answer the Public and put in the keyword “placemat.”

This is how I find the best ideas sometimes…just inserting random keywords from my everyday life.

Once you insert a keyword, Answer the Public literally shows you a wealth of data.

Go check it out.

Anyways…I like to scroll down to the “Alphabeticals” section.

Here’s an example of what that section looks like, and one IDEA that stood out to me.

Hopefully you can see the phrase I highlighted in the image above, “placemat lunch box.”

I really have no clue what this means.

Is it a placemat to put a lunch box on?

Is it a lunch box that looks like a placemat?

That’s the fun of it!

I don’t go out looking for specific products.

I look for IDEAS… and those IDEAS lead me to products!

The first thing I like to do after finding an idea, is pop over to eBay and put it in the search box.

I do this for a few reasons:

#1: Many times you’ll find eBay vendors selling awesome products that ship from the USA. You can sometimes reach out to them, strike drop shipping deals, and instantly have a cool product to sell, that ships from the USA (or whatever location you want).

#2: eBay shows me all types of products…and I may be able to find a product I never thought of, and then find a supplier for that product.

So I went to eBay and searched “placemat lunch box.”

I dug through the results a bit, and found this thing:

It’s called the “FlatBox.”

After looking at the page in more detail, I see it’s a lunch box that turns into a placemat!

How freakin’ cool is that??

So…

If we use our “Social Media Friendly” radar, we can easily see that this passes the test.

It’s not just a lunch box…

Because if I just need a lunch box, I’ll probably go to the store and buy it or order one on Amazon.

But this is a lunch box that unzips and turns into a placemat.

Very creative and very useful if I had a child.

Unzip, fold it out, and boom…a placemat to eat lunch on.

Now…if this product was unbranded and generic, I might reach out to this eBay seller.

But since it has a brand name, I’m gonna take things a step further.

NOTE: What I’m about to show you will literally take you further than 99.9% of drop ship store owners, who are lazy and just want to sell products from China.

I go to Google and do a “groundbreaking” search…

Wait for it…

I know, I know…

I’m a trailblazer.

And the first result that comes up is a wholesale website called “The Grommet.”

And what’d ya know when I click…

Yep…

There’s the FlatBox 🙂

And this site let’s me buy it at a wholesale price, so I can then mark it up and sell it in my store.

Even better…look at how this website describes itself:

“We help Retailers save time finding unique, innovative products. Browse and buy from many different Makers in one place.”

NOTE: I’ve never used this site and know nothing about it. I don’t know if they drop ship or not. If not, you can move on to another product. That’s not the point. The point is to show you that doing things a little differently can bring amazing results!

And they want to work with businesses just like YOU.

Did you think I was done?

Nope…it gets even better.

I started out looking for one product, but look what happens when I click on the “Best Sellers” tab:

HUNDREDS of other really cool, Social Media Friendly Products:

Just a sample of some of the products on the site. Image Source: wholesale.thegrommet.com

And here’s the best part…

There are tons of websites like this out there!

They have cool, innovative products.

And they want your business.

This is how you begin to build a REAL eCommerce business.

Not one that’s dependent on items coming from China that take 2-4 weeks to reach your customer.

And doing it this way just feels better and more fulfilling.

Now let’s talk about the ‘A’ in our S.A.L.E.S Success Recipe…

2) Ads and Audiences That Convert

The best products in the world won’t sell, if you don’t make them compelling to the audiences most likely to buy them!

In other words…

You now know what types of products sell well on Facebook.

But in order to actually sell them, you need to create ads that convert…and then run those ads to audiences that convert.

Good news!

I’m about to cover how to do that.

Let’s start with Ads That Convert.

Just like your products need to be Social Media Friendly… your ads need to be Social Media Friendly too!

Here’s what most people do…

Wow, this item is so cool! (insert overused emoji here)

It’s 50% off today!

Get it Here:

Can that work?

Sure it can…

But with a little extra work, you can truly make your ads stand out and speak to the audience you’re targeting.

In fact… just by doing a little research, you can make your product appeal specifically to an audience… making them feel like the product was created just for them!

We do that by choosing an “Angle” for our ad copy.

What do I mean by “Angle?”

Let me show you an example…

Here’s a random example (know nothing about this product…just an example):

I popped over to Amazon and searched for a random product.

I found this Bluetooth Shower Head Speaker.

Basically, it’s a shower head that not only dispenses water…but plays music, allows you to make calls, and more (via Bluetooth).

Pretty cool, and meets the “Social Media Friendly” criteria for a product.

How would the average store owner promote this product?

Probably something like this:

That’s one angle you could take…

Talking about how cool and amazing the product is.

But…what if you took a couple minutes and did some homework?

How Women in Bathtubs Can Help Write Your Ad Copy

Here’s how it works…

What you want to do is…dig into reviews on Amazon for the type of product you’re selling (even if it’s not the exact one).

You’ll start to see people share why they bought a product, what they like about it, and more.

This information is GOLD!

Another Seinfeld reference :). Image source: ftvlive.com

Here’s one of the first reviews I found:

Hopefully you can see that clearly…but it’s a man sharing how his wife uses the bluetooth speaker for relaxation nights in the tub.

She pops a bath bomb, lights some candles, and plays spa music.

So I dug a bit further…

How amazing is the intel we get from these reviews?

“…feel like I’m at some expensive resort…”

“…relaxing rainfall shower.”

We’re starting to see a trend here.

People discussing how the bluetooth shower head speaker is relaxing.

Perhaps helps them unwind a bit…

And that’s a whole different angle than “How cool is this??”

So instead…our ad might read:

Obviously we’d have an image of the product too.

Do you see how that’s different than what you typically see?

It completely separates you from your competition!

And while no ad copy is guaranteed to work, it’ll definitely catch the attention of your target audience.

Which leads us to…

Audiences That Convert

Here’s what’s kinda crazy…

Imagine you really were trying to sell a Bluetooth Shower Head Speaker.

The average person would have no clue who to target with a product like that.

Everyone Most people take showers daily.

So you’re kind of targeting the masses with a product like this if you go in unprepared.

But because we did some homework and found an angle, we now easily have an audience to target!

Sticking with our Bluetooth Shower Head example, let’s take a look at some interests we can target inside the Facebook ads manager.

Since I’m going to take the angle of relaxation and stress relief, I might choose to target some meditation interests like the ones below:

Or…

Maybe instead of going after meditation, I try and target interests related to stress relief and mindfulness:

Or I could take a completely different approach.

Since I know many people who do Yoga are into stress relief, relaxation, mindfulness, and more…I could target Yoga interests, and even reference it in my ad copy if I wanted.

The reality is, I have no clue which group of people will be most likely to buy my product.

I’ll have to test and find out.

BUT…

What I’ve done is found multiple audiences that I can speak to with my ad copy and angle.

And this sets me up for my best chance at CONVERTING them into customers!

Next up in our S.A.L.E.S Success Recipe is the “L,” which stands for…

3) Low-Hanging Fruit

We’ve seen a common theme throughout this post…

And that theme is that if you do things differently than most people, you have a good chance at achieving results that they don’t.

See…when most people do drop shipping and Facebook ads, they just focus on the front-end.

➡ Run Facebook ads.

➡ People come to your store.

➡ They buy or don’t buy.

➡ The end…

Can you be successful that way?

Sure…

But wanna increase your chances of success?

Of course!

Then you need to be capturing the Low-Hanging Fruit, which consists of (at a minimum):

• Retargeting

• Up Sells

• Email Marketing

(Nowadays, you wanna include Messenger Marketing too, but that’s a bit more advanced).

By capturing the Low-Hanging Fruit, you’ll bring extra sales into your store and maximize your profits.

You might be losing money or breaking even, but the Low-Hanging Fruit could make you profitable!

You’ll also be fully maximizing the money you spend on Facebook ads, because you’re not just focused on the front end sale, but on bringing in the most $$ from each customer.

Let’s quickly discuss each pillar above:

Retargeting

You likely need no introduction here…

Retargeting is simply running ads to people who visited your store, checked out a product, but didn’t buy it.

There could be a ton of reasons why they didn’t buy.

Maybe they thought the price was high…

Maybe they saved it for later…

Or maybe they had to go pick up their kids from school.

Regardless, you wanna retarget these people in different ways:

➡ Hit them with an ad that has a testimonial of someone who already bought the product (proof someone else liked the product).

➡ Run an ad that offers a discount code or free shipping if they come back and buy (if price was a factor in them not buying, this may change their mind).

➡ Run an ad that answers common objections (shipping time, return policy, etc).

➡ And finally…you can just run an ad reminding them that they viewed the product, but didn’t buy it (what a novel idea).

By using different retargeting strategies, you give yourself a chance to appeal to potential customers in various ways.

One person may like seeing a testimonial, while another may like getting a discount.

That’s the beauty of using this strategy.

Up Sells

In order to up sell someone, they must first buy a product.

That said, the more you can get someone to spend in your store, the more you can afford to spend on ads.

Make sense?

If your average sale is for $20, but you can increase it to $30, you’ve just given yourself more room to play with when spending on ads.

Plus…it helps your margins.

So what are some ways to up sell?

➡ You could use an app in your store that recommends similar products (there’s tons of apps like this).

➡ Once someone buys, you can offer them a special code via email or FB ads to shop again.

➡ Or…while they’re browsing your store, you can offer a bundle (2 products) or a quantity discount (ie. Buy 2, Get 1 Free).

There’s more ways to up sell, but that’s enough to get you started :).

Email Marketing

For some reason…many people who start drop shipping stores completely ignore email marketing.

They are so focused on becoming profitable on the front end (Facebook Ads > Store), that they lose sight of what might be the most profitable channel they have.

With email marketing, you can click a button and send offers to all your customers and subscribers.

Let’s quickly discuss some of the best ways to use email to capture Low-Hanging Fruit:

➡ Setup an abandoned cart sequence. If someone Adds to Cart, but doesn’t buy, they get emails reminding them to complete their purchase. We see up to 12% of lost sales recaptured this way. That’s a lot of $$.

➡ Email special offers to people who subscribe to your site (entice them to become customers).

➡ Email current customers special deals (weekend sales, holiday sales, and more). Big hint here…people who have already bought once, may be more likely to buy higher-priced products from you.

For some email inspiration, go subscribe to some retail stores and see how they interact with you.

That’s a good one, but one of my personal favorites is Edible Arrangements.

They send creative emails and I always get ideas from them.

On to the ‘E’ in our Recipe…

4) Effective Evaluation

So you’ve done all this work…

➡ Found Social Media Friendly products…

➡ Set up ads that convert…

➡ Run those ads to audiences that convert…

➡ And made sure you’re capturing Low-Hanging Fruit.

Well…now you’ve gotta see what’s actually working!

It’s important to remember something…

I’ve stressed throughout this post the importance of treating your drop shipping store like a REAL business.

None of this “make money quick and sit on a beach” non-sense.

But really creating a fulfilling business that can be profitable long-term.

Part of that is spending money on Facebook ads, knowing they aren’t guaranteed to work.

Facebook ads are an investment into your business.

You’re buying data, which will not only show you what works and what doesn’t…but over time it’ll make your ads account smarter and your ads more effective.

That’s because Facebook lets you do cool things like build custom audiences, lookalike audiences, and more.

If you don’t know what that stuff is, don’t worry.

It’s not as scary as it seems :).

Effective evaluation is simply deciding what’s working and what’s not.

You stop what’s not effective, and do more of what is!

You do this by looking at benchmarks, such as Cost Per Website Visitor, Cost Per Add to Cart, Cost Per Purchase, and more.

Eventually the goal is to get a product that’s selling well.

Then you’re rolling…

You’re running ads to your store, your product is being drop shipped, and you’re just collecting profit and managing the business.

Once that happens…it’s time for some fun!

That brings us to the final “S” in the S.A.L.E.S Success Recipe…

5) SMART Scaling

So we’ve done all this hard work to get to this point…

Finding products, setting up ads, evaluating things, and more.

So once we find something that’s selling well, it’s time for dessert!

Here’s what’s on the menu once you’re ready to scale up:

➡ Expand to new interests: If I know my interests are already working, I can simply click the “Suggestions” button in Facebook to find more like them.

➡ Create Lookalike Audiences: So basically, Facebook will go out and find people that are just like the people in your audience. So if you create a Lookalike Audience based on people who bought your product, Facebook will find people similar to them.

➡ Duplicate winning ad sets: If an ad is already working, I can duplicate it at a higher budget to see how it performs.

➡ Test new images, videos, and ad copy: Remember how we found an “angle” earlier from the Amazon reviews? Well…we can find more angles, which means different ads to different types of people. It’s a great way to expand 🙂

Once you get to this point, you’ll continue optimizing and expanding, but you may also wanna get some help.

Someone to help with customer service, Facebook page management, and other tasks you can delegate.

If you have to hire someone, it’s a good problem to have.

It means you’re doing well!

TL;DR (Summary For You Lazy Bums Who Don’t Wanna Read 6000 Words)

I’m kidding (kind of).

I know I threw a lot at you… but you literally have the framework we use to grow successful drop shipping stores!

Here’s a recap:

• Most people build drop shipping stores all wrong. They’re in it for a quick buck… so they don’t build a store that can last long-term. They view an online business as some “get rich quick” hobby, and then get frustrated when they don’t see success right away.

• We used to drop ship from China, but then realized it’s just as easy to use USA suppliers (or suppliers in whatever country you’re shipping to). This creates happier customers, repeat buyers, a better brand, and an overall more sustainable business.

• I shared our strategy for building a drop shipping store that can provide everything you want out of an online business (more freedom, sales, etc)… but WITHOUT all the headaches that come with the “old way” of doing things.

• eCommerce changed my life (and business)… and has done the same for many of our clients. I shared the story of how it happened, and how we developed this formula for building successful stores.

• It’s called our S.A.L.E.S Success Recipe.

• First, you find “Social Media Friendly” products. You never wanna be Jerry Seinfeld walking into a Kanye West concert (scroll up if you’re confused).

• The way to find awesome products, is by NOT looking for products at all. Instead… look for IDEAS for products (again, scroll up if you’re confused). This is such a “sneaky” way to find awesome product ideas!

• Then, you create ads that convert… by finding unique angles. You find these angles by researching what real people say about a product/niche, then using that in your ads. Women in their bathtubs can literally write your ad copy for you. Again, scroll up for examples.

• Then… you’ll find audiences that convert, based on your angle! Your ad copy will speak directly to them, and make them more likely to buy. Your ads will look completely different than most stores!

• During all this… you wanna make sure you scoop up the Low-Hanging Fruit (retargeting, up sells, email marketing). Many different ways to do this that we covered. This increases sales and maximizes your traffic. It can be the difference between losing money and making money.

• From there… it’s time to evaluate what’s working and what isn’t. You’ll look at certain benchmarks to make decisions. Keep what’s working, shut off what isn’t.

• Finally, when you have a product selling well…it’s time for SMART Scaling. This involves new interests, Lookalike Audiences, new angles, and more. Fun stuff!

And that is the formula we use to grow drop shipping stores for ourselves and our clients!

Is this you right now…?

You might be sitting at your computer…

You’re like…“It’s all happening!! I finally get this this stuff!”

You’re feeling really good.

If so… I’m glad.

That’s what I was hoping to provide you through this post, since I know you see so much information on drop shipping and are unsure who to listen to.

Before I go any further…I have a question.

If you implemented all 5 steps of the S.A.L.E.S Success Recipe I covered today… do you think you could grow a successful store?

Could you legitimately see yourself doing this?

I truly hope you do… but I also realize you might have more questions.

➡ Like…what are other ways to find products?

➡ What’s the best way to reach out to suppliers to get a good deal?

➡ What’s the best theme for my Shopify store?

➡ What are the best apps to use?

➡ If my product isn’t selling well, how do I know what the problem is?

And more…

Those are things you can learn and work through.

But the most important thing is…you actually need IMPLEMENT the stuff you learned today.

And if you enjoyed the content you just read… and you like the formula we use to build successful drop shipping stores stores, then you might be a good fit for the program I told you about earlier.

The Store Implementation Program is our flagship eCommerce coaching and accountability program.

We’ve been running it for nearly three years now… and put HUNDREDS of students through our formula for growing successful drop shipping stores.

If you’ve read through this entire post, I’m assuming a few things about you:

➡ You’ve been reading a lot about eCommerce and dropshipping. Probably attended a few webinars and all that good stuff.

➡ You might be newer to this stuff, and it’s really interesting to you.

➡ Or… you may have a store up, or be in the process of launching one.

➡ Heck… you may have even made some sales before!

➡ Maybe you’ve done the “drop ship from China” model and had enough of it.

And I’m pretty sure you’ve seen lots of people posting their success with drop shipping, and it’s peaked your interest.

If any of the above sounds like you, and what I discussed today resonates with you…

I want to invite you to grow your dropshipping business with our team.

Like I said… over the last few years, we’ve helped HUNDREDS of entrepreneurs launch and grow their own eCommerce stores.

But… as you’ve likely learned, we like to do things a bit differently.

We don’t just give you some videos to watch and wish you luck.

And we don’t insult your intelligence by pretending this is easy and you’ll become a millionaire overnight.

We’ve built a REAL program, that helps entrepreneurs grow their drop shipping stores… and gives them the coaching, support, and accountability to turn it into a business they can be proud of.

• In our coaching program, we take you through the EXACT process you need to grow a drop shipping store.

• We even help you find products,  build/optimize your store FOR you, set your ads up WITH YOU, and more… all on 1-on-1 calls!

• And this isn’t your typical “internet marketing” program where there’s one guru trying to coach a bunch of people. We have a team of coaches, who are experts in every area of eCommerce.

• We even have an Accountability Coach, whose sole purpose is to make sure you are taking action and not procrastinating.

We do everything WITH you… so you aren’t trying to figure it out on your own.

And that’s our secret edge.

Getting on 1-on-1 calls as you implement and being held accountable is a POWERFUL combination.

If this sounds like EXACTLY what you’re looking for… click the link below and explore our program:

When you visit the page above, there’s a questionnaire for you to fill out, that allows us to learn more about you and your goals.

Thanks again for taking time to read this post.

I hope you got some value out of it 🙂
